Many BMW fans consider the M2 to be BMW’s best work of this decade. The excellent mechanical features of the M4 were all transplanted to the smaller, lighter M2. BMW’s goal of offering the M2 for a lower price point than the M4 was a double edged sword. On the one hand, the car’s stripped down nature when compared to the M4 represents a return to the classic M car: simple, pure, and meant for driving enjoyment first and foremost.
With all this in mind, Sterckenn took to designing pieces that would purposefully accent the front bumper of the M2 while being able to use existing M-Performance accessories. Being a company driven by passion for BMW, Sterckenn specializes in manufacturing high-end carbon fiber parts for BMW vehicles. All their components are designed, engineered, and produced in Europe.
Starting with the need for a front lip / splitter, Sterckenn 3D scanned the M2 front valence in order to achieve superior fitment and quality with their design. Once the dimensions were available, the front splitter was carefully modeled in CAD to achieve a result that runs in parallel with Sterckenn’s design language. The splitter gives a sophisticated design while maintaining standard ground clearance.
